I'm stuck in a procrastination loop and I need some sanity-checks, I've read so much nothing makes sense anymore lol
SSD in my laptop died, so my own PCB isn't happening, and Frank did a new run of adapter boards, and I have one on it's way.
Frank's board for those that haven't seen it:
http://westfieldmx5.devocht.com/megasqu ... s3pro-pcb/So, this is what I have:
NA6, A/C, no P/S
MS3Pro Module
Spartan2 WBo2 + Bosch sensor.
GM 3Bar MAP Sensor (Just realised I need a plug!)
GM IAT Sensor + Plug
Toyota COPS + Plugs
I cannot for the life of me work out which TPS I need. The closest wrecker that has any amount of useful stuff is an hour away, and they don't take the TPS off the TB, and they don't take the TB off the engine - so I need to buy a whole engine to get a TPS off them. Pass.
That leaves eBay, and
nobody has listed a TPS with "Cus, you need this for your megasquirt" in the item description

Are all of the 3-wire BMW E30 TPSs suitable? (or is there a better/more cost-effective one these days? Cheapest I've seen is about $85 from the UK)
Then, the plan is as follows:
0) Set the car back to 10deg timing.
1) Build up the board, do firmware and basemap.
2) Install MS + VTPS + IAT + WBo2 + MAP Sensor to car.
3) Disable fuel, check sensor inputs + timing.
4) Enable fuel, attempt to start car on stock coils.
5) If car starts, fit COPS, start car again.
6) Wire in Seq spark, start car.
7) Tune car so it's drive-able.

Adjust things until car is nice.
Steps 2 - 7 will happen in a day (or a weekend, or less than a week) I'll have a couple of helpers, one with an MS in an Alfa, and one that knows MX5 wiring. (they're yet to find out about this, but they
will help, or I'll kidnap their loved ones until they do

)
Is there anything drain-bamaged with my proposed process? (Aside from kidnapping people, I'm aware that that's frowned upon)
