yeah, they dont really do much though, the "protector" being rubber, just bends out of the way to allow the curb to do it's nasty work.

the only sure fire way to stop scuffs is to park a bit further away from the curb.

Falken Azenis RT 615's will fill the bill for you.
I run 215/45/17's on my SP, and they do stick out a little from the 17X7's that I run.
I have 205's on the front, but the sidewalls on these are just leel with the rim.

These are fantastic tyres with lots of grip, and very good steering response too.
However, I am lucky to get 10,000 k's out of them, but then again, I've got 183 RWKw to contend with. :P

While they are not stricly speaking a semi-slick, they do look like it, and behave like them too, but they are classed as a street tyre, and most importantly, they don't require warming up to give good grip.
When I was running Dunlop semi-slicks, they were diabolical until they were warm, and I only got around 6,000 k's out of them, although there was more grip than the RT 615's when they were warm, they were dangerous when cold and were also very noisy on the highway.
The RT 615's are quiet and drive really well.

Very nice Moto, either a smidge lower, or a higher profile tyre and it would be perfect!

Yeah I actually agree with you, it looks too 'busy'. I'm going to pull the aussie flag and the Brown Davies stickers off.

I just added some 17 x 7 anz wheels shod with re001's (205-40-17's)
It seems the new wheel diameter brings my speedo much closer to actual speed compared to the stock 16's

Adam K,

I really like your wheels ! It's nice to see a new design, I haven't seen those before, they really suit the MX :)
