Hi all
So I've bought a hurricane header for my NB to complete my RS3 system. It arrived today and I've opened it up to find the piping is way smaller than the RS3 system. I think 1.5 inch outlet vs 2.5 for the RS3. #$^*& &$% $(*%$$%#$
I understand this is my fault for not checking the details. Not sure what I should do though. I was excited that I found a header that fits my $(&% auto I didn't stop to think about the pipe diameter.
Should I just get the installer to weld them together and be done with it? Try to get a refund or sell it and then get a custom 2.5 instead?
I don't plan to go FI in the near future so it doesn't *have* to be the large diameter piping. It just seems like a waste to have the header bottlenecking the rest of the system.
Advice much appreciated

Re: Header problem
Could the exhaust shop cut the collector of the headers at 2.5" and keep it that size right thru?

Re: Header problem
Its 2", which is the right size for your entire exhaust system.
Just get him to weld it on if you are going to run a tailpipe way to big regardless.

Re: Header problem
Really? .5 of an inch? Looks like significant difference. If the rest of the system is too big, guess it's not an issue.
Will take a photo or measure up maybe.
Anyway, thanks all

Re: Header problem
Just had a quick look at Hurricane web site and both 1.6 & 1.8 headers are 51mm outlet.

Re: Header problem
Id be willing to bet that they lack the skills required to build a proper 2-2.5" merge for it.
