The green bush supplied with the short shifter kit is now working perfectly with a couple of tight fitting washers in the turret beneath the washer. All rattles, buzzes etc are now gone, even though I lost the wobbly washer in the reassembly process.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Sorry to revive a dead thread, could you elaborate more on how you fixed this? I have the same issue. Cheers.

The May 2014 fix only worked for a while.

IL Motorsports Mk2 version of their shifter with nylon inserts has been a longer lasting solution. It, too, has been buzzing slightly recently but this might be to do with the recent discovery of only 3.5 of the 6 engine mount bolts being present and/or the correct size and/or tightened.
