I was planning on making some nice lightweight adjustable end links with aluminium rod ends. Is there any interest to make a few of them?
They are a bit tricky to put together as you can't buy M10 aluminium rod ends. So my plan is to use 7/16" Rod ends with a bushing onto the M10 bolt so that they fit nice and snug. I'll also use aluminium jam nuts and 17mm hex bar that would be drilled and tapped for adjustment. I'm not sure if the lightweightness is worth it though as it adds to the price and you can buy M10 steel rod ends without need for the extra bushing.
I would expect a pair to cost around $100-$120 by the time all the parts are sourced and they are made.

How much cheaper would it be if you were able to use steel rod ends? Using PTFE lined rod ends?

Re: Lightweight Sway Bar End Links
I'd probably use decent qualiry rod ends so not much cheaper. It would be easier though as they could be M10 rod ends which means you don't need the spacer bushing over the bolt.
Given the choice between easy and best, I'll go for the later every time. 949racing sells good endlinks for around $130 a pair by the time you factor in shipping. They look like they are pretty well designed.
