Good. It is rare to find someone that knows the differences.

Re: Which BP into NA6
More info out there the better...
Like the OP I have a '98 Astina engine that I'm going also going to rebuild. BTW, the cams are stamped 2Y. It's hard to find any info online on them so I'm going to assume they are: (based on Project.r's posts)
Intake 233 @ 8.3mm lift
Exhaust 241 @ 8.890mm lift
Given I too also have a NA8 in bits, so my plan is to use the exhaust cam from the NA8 as the intake cam and increase the duration to 250 @ 8.66 lift.
I'll start a new thread once I get into it and document all the various changes required to get an Astina engine running in a MX5. The Astina engines are popping up pretty cheap so they are a great way to update a destroyed NA8 engine.

Look forward to following. I've got the NA8 cams here too so that could be an option however I am considering sending them off for a regrind.

Astina engines have always been cheap I paid $150 5 years ago for one with 130K on the clock. But regular price for the past 5 years has been $450 from wreckers.
