Anybody interested in coming along to a drive day at Marulan this saturday (October 3rd)?
I went down a couple of weeks ago after a HUGE break and had a great time. Not so many cars on the track at the same time and we had a lot of track time. Did quite well considering the break, and keen to go out with proper tyres and tighten things up a bit.
Weather is looking good and hopefully my semis have not crumbled to dust (it was still great fun even on street tyres)..

Re: Marulan drive day
Well... this worked out well.
It was super hot, but luckily I had snagged one of the rare covered spots thanks to an early start.
I'm sure you guys probably know, but just to put it on the record, apparently semi-slicks will survive 2 years in storage; they worked just fine and were as sticky as hell, although with the track temps being what they were today, they would go off after about 5 laps (which is quite unusually for V700s). Not sure if it was the long storage time, high track temps, or dodgy driving..
Had an awesome time; somewhat more busy that the last time out, but did ok and returned without bending the car, so that's not bad.

Marulan is a great track. Tight and twisty, Perfect for mx5's.
The MX5 club is having another day there on the 25th October if your a member.
