How low have you guys got your cars set with the DFV's? I've fitted them to my NA and just went to lower the rear of the car cause I think its sitting to high. I had already lowered the car roughly 10mm (measured from wheel centre to guard) from the settings Ohlins suggest and I only managed to get half a turn further out of the rear left coilover and a further 2 turns out of the rear right coilover. At these settings the RL was at 340mm and the RR at 330mm. This has obviously happened from the RR settling abit with the extra weight on this side of the car. I just wound the RR up to meet the RL but im not overly happy with how high it is. Im not looking to slam it on its guts but I was hoping to cut down the wheel to guard gap. I havent played with the spring perches yet since I dont fully understand how it will effect the cars handling.

Revisiting an old thread because the Yellowspeed is giving me grief on the bumpy Sydney road..

Regie

Do you recall when you purchased the onlins from Steve?

Just got a quote and the price has gone up somewhat to ~$2.6-2.7k with no stock til late August.

Is it exchange rate at play?

Late Feb this year Kev

Could be that he had them in stock already, Myself and James bought them around the same time from Steve.

Check the sponsors section, Chris @MX5 parts may be able to get them in for you from Goodwin

Chris is also doing it for $2.7k

Good things certainly don't come cheap!

Just out of curiosity, why doesn't Mr Goodwin ship out of the States?

Nothing is supple enough for a road full of pothole BUT
I did talk to these guys a while back at SMSP.

http://www.shockworks.com.au/

They were working on an NB that the owner wanted to drive over railway crossings at speed without tearing the front end out!?
Apparently they got it right.

PSS9 is an NB fitment, also fits NA with NB hats? NC is a different designation (PSS10 from memory), so valving may be different.

Anyway, for that money you would want more performance - my last PSS9s were about A$1700 in my hands from Shox.com.

Mr Goodwin has had some bad experiences with us, and made a policy decision as he is entitled to. Mind you, paying him was pretty 1950s, as he couldn't handle electronic or credit card payments and I used bank drafts by snail mail for my stuff, so going through Chris will be a lot simpler. That was a long time ago though.
