Re: Spotted VIC TAS - Post your sightings here!
I have finally seen an MX5 after a couple of weeks at our beach shack with no sightings at all despite the population down (up) here swelling to I would guess about 5000 through the Christmas January season.
It was a white NA Vic Reg prefix EA_ _ _ _ parked outside Mallacoota Pub. I saw it a couple of times last week (you can't expect me to be too specific when in holiday mode) parked in roughly the same spot. Anyone here?
BTW for some reason Mallacoota hasn't been a happy hunting ground for spotting MX5s over the many years we have been holidaying here, despite the great "twisties" along the road in from the Princes Highway. I suspect that this is because of the limited luggage space an MX5 allows so that those people with alternate vehicles tend to leave the MX5 at home and bring boats and /or camping gear instead. I did bring the X19 down as a second car one year (before I owned an MX5) because I had to go home before the rest of the family. I will always remember a serendipitous few moments of driving out of a set of twisties with a giant sea eagle shadowing me overhead for what seemed like a kilometer or so...absolutely magic.
(note to self: bring an MX5 down next trip if it's only the two of us (SWMBO and me) coming.

Spotted a nice green NB on Thompsons Rd, Bulleen this afternoon.
I think you high beamed me, so I waved back
I was in the red NA with gold wheels.

Two waves today! The first was on Templestowe Road (Heidelberg area) from a blue NA. The second was a green NB I caught up with at the southern end of Springvale Road until we parted ways on the Frankston Freeway.

Burgundy NA with flares and Nardi wood wheel (broken down with hazard flashers on) in right turn lane from Warrigal Road to Dandenong Road Chadstone on Friday at 5.00pm! Really sorry there was no way I could stop to help across lanes of banked up traffic. First time I can recall seeing a broken down MX5.
If anyone here... really sorry mate and hope you were able to extricate yourself without serious damage to vehicle and life and limb.

Blue NA was me, we were on our way to Garage Cafe, guess you were heading home?
Luckily your car is super easy to spot and I know that I'm waving to someone who knows what they are driving. The number of times I have waved to people in MX-5s who have no clue

Totally off topic; over this weekend I saw 3 Austin-Healy Sprites, in different locations at different times. I never, ever see them on the road, they are sooo cute and small. Luckily I was in a non-descript bland vehicle or it would look like a monstorous MX-5 chasing after a little toy car.

Re: Spotted VIC TAS - Post your sightings here!
Burgundy coloured NC PRHT parked next to me at Westfield Doncaster just now.
I laughed, as he or she had squeezed the car in between a pole and my car. Wasn't really a parking space, but perfect for an MX5
If it was any other car, I'd have been annoyed, but I thought it was hilarious!
