If you get to make it, look forward to you and 53 neck and neck for fastest time of the day!! No matter what, always a pleasure to watch both of the 'red rockets' !!

Should be good.. i dont think ill come out if its raining though.. i dont have much left on these rs3's so it will be to sketchy lol

i think mine and his cars are more or less about the same as far as modifying goes.. like he went to a bigger motor and cams to get power.. i went for turbo. He has a lot better suspension and bracing then me with his ohlins and the countless number of braces he has. i have leaking bc coilovers, fender braces and a basic 4 pt roll bar lol. It should be interesting.

Two different approaches to going quick. I will go through the corners quicker and start the straights faster. Charlie will be much quicker down the straights having much more power and will make up for being a bit slower in the corners. Our times should be very close looking forward to the day. If its raining I should be a fair bit quicker though.

Best to be there by 10.30am, time to settle in etc unload the car, crack open the chaise lounge etc !! Full details are under 'Motor Sport' on the MX5 Club of QLD website - just click 'Motor Sport' and let that page open!!
Just back from Lakeside watching Practice and the Sprint Meeting today, was kinda hot but saw Charlie walking around and also ran into Dean [red NA car #94] Saw a few spins, one crash into the armco at Eastern Loop and then a grass fire on the right coming out of 'Hungry' just after a Skyline had spun!! Blue Evo blew a diff down the main straight, a few MX5's doing very nice times as well! Chris Rice has got his silver SP really flying now, I had him unofficial at a high 62!
Also had the chance to pick up my transponder, supplies are now in, and remember if yoyu have hired previous, the cost is deducted, so only $40 for me today - thanks also to Neil from QR who even took the time to punch the transponder number into my 'Lapceiver' - appreciated!!
Geez, now only NINE [9] days to go!!

Re: MX5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY 17 SEPT 2012
TIMING TRANSPONDERS
I spoke with Neil from QR today and was informed they now have supplies of 'timing transponders' to buy. If you have 'rented' the past one or two track days, that cost will be deducted from the $80 cost. As I paid $20 at both QR in May and Lakeside in July, all I had to pay today to OWN it was $40
If you already have the 'lapceiver' that shows and stores lap times [up to 2800 of them in five [5] memory banks, don't forget to update the NEW transponder number into it!!
Again, if your track car is registered you WILL require a 'CTP Extension'. You obtain this from your CTP insurer, that's the one that appears on your registration papers .. simply ring them and inform that you require the extension for 17 September, not sure about others but NRMA does not require the track location and does not charge. Please do not leave this until the last day, DO IT MONDAY!!
See you all there!!

PLEASE NOTE:
The CTP insurance motorsport extension is only applicable to cars with Queensland registration.
Removing your registration plates does not avoid the above requirement.

One thing is for sure - you both spent silly amounts of $$$ with folks to get faster around the track. Will be keen to see how much more that is vs stock SE/SP and others....
Time/$ would be a good measure and something that maybe the MX5 club could introduce in the track days. Would encourage driver skill beyond just throwing down crazy cash and would reward DIY engineering vs I paid someone to make me quicker.
Thoughts??
