Love the headlights. Did you get the lens off and spray the insides?

Yup took em apart sanded the chrome off (very easy, very light sanding and then the chrome just peels off with a light cloth buff) and then sprayed with gloss black)

exactly right. although I didn't buy it from mania as they ran out of stock of the flat black colour. XXR 521 16x8 +20

Hjt wrote:Side skirts are no longer "rare" as I'm aware of 8 sets in oz. My skirts arrive mid march btw.

I am loving the flat black!

NOooO wait is that 8 sets including the ones you bought? or 8 + yours.
Either way, ~10 sets is still pretty rare. just not as rare as I'd have wanted. Oh well

This is my favourite MX5 photo ever. I just can't take my eyes off that tow hook. It's dirty.

Do want.

Mmm...did you have to bake the lens off? I'm interested in doing this - does it affect how the headlights work? It'll look great with my silver and black theme...anxiously waiting for those G-Fusers!

Yea you do, couple of oven mits, some alfoil, a towel to lay the headlight on and work off is all you need.

Is there a write-up on how to do it anywhere? I'd be interested in doing it for my Red NB as well... black and red is so sexy!

There is a write up somewhere. It has been discussed - I was wondering if Kikuchi did it another way.

How do you guys think something like this would go on a Red NB? I'm just looking for a set of cheap 'daily' rims that look half decent...

Mate if you haven't bought them yet, I have a set exactly the same in a 17' that is flat black with a chrome lip.

They are Lenso Project D rims.

They are with worn out 123s Achilles tyres at my old mans factory and would be a good replacement.

Pic of wheels.
