Novacastrians! Sugarloaf meetup - Sunday 11th Sept

Postby NitroDann » Sat Aug 06, 2011 9:47 pm

Ok guys,

Last meet up was great, lots of different guys and cars came. Including an MG TF(? Sorry paul..) an AW11 MR2 complete with big SC14 blower, as well as worked atmo, turbo and blown mx5s.

A few PM requests my way lead me to organise another one. Hopefully patrick will be able to make it this time with his MX5 club outright wakefield park record holding turbo na6 monster and Im sure a few new faces will be there compared to last time, based on a couple of PMs.

Again, the idea is that its a place where genuine sports car enthusiasts can come and avoid the ''Bro's'' that hang at the foreshore, and of course, the fuzz.

Mt sugarloaf has a small main carpark good for 20 or so cars with overflow for many many more, a great view, lighting, barbeques, and a road up the mountain to the carpark at the top that really should be a hillclimb course

As before the idea is that all small or jap sports cars are welcome with an emphasis on the non doof doof culture, ie please no VTs. :D

Invite all your mates and hopefully we will all have another great time, and this will turn into a nice monthly event.

Please register interest here with your preffered saturday arvo within the next month or so, so that we can make the most conveinient date for all.

When a date is decided upon, I will have a friendly mod change the thread title to include it.
:D

Of course. What date will suit you?
There should be an evo or 2 show up also. All I want is to avoid the fully sick hecktik subwoofer chromies culture bull, that comes with all the regular big unorganised weekly meets every city has.
If people wanted that they could just go to the cbd on a thursday.

How many dc5s would make the trip?
They truly are the FWD sportscar of dreams. (or maybe thats a DC2...:P)

Dann

Ill add that this meet up location is just 1 minute off the f3. Turn off at the edgeworth off ramp and turn left, drive 1 minute then turn left onto the mountain drive up to the carpark.
For this reason it makes a great half day trip for the sydneysiders to meet the newcastle enthusiasts!

Sweet, I was meaning to talk to you about doing another one of these, haha. I wouldn't be able to make the 27th, but any of the other Saturdays in the next month or so would suit me.

And it's an MGA.

Yeah, TF was the predecessor to the MGA. I would have thought you'd know how to use Google Images by now. :P

MGA:

They're both cool. :P Especially when the MGA is as well-sorted as my dad's.

Great. I wish I could edit my first post so we could organise this easily by showing everyones available date.

I think a sydney mini trip would be great. Its such a great private location with such an mx5 firendly road up the nountain, we had heaps of fun test driving each others cars last time :D
