Sorry guys, I can't come, and I don't think a Suzuki Swift is an acceptable substitute :( still haven't got my hands on new wheels and tyres yet :|

Hope you all have a great day (especially Ben!), and I can't wait to see some photos!!

Chicken!!, oh wait i did the same last night. I am still listed, but atm my pads are faded and i made it alot worse today by removing my rear brace and sway bars to grind the rust that has developed over the years.

As i said before, Have fun, drive safe, and i'm keen on a Melbourne trip soon enough :)

I might turn up with my brother in his MG Midget if we're feeling enthusiastic enough in the morning. It's going to be cooooooold.

+1

To Alex and Ben!!! Good times, great people! Pretty good that we managed to stay in a group for the whole day.

Everyone was damn tired at the end there but it was well worth it

Sorry I missed this, but the combination of EOFY long days, the excitement and late night of the Karatak on Thursday night meant I was so tired I had no chance for another 4AM start.

If you are keen to double up, there could be another drive early Sunday morning.

Alex, bring Ben to the Hunter! Will be a great time to visit. :)

You did get a perfect day, today. Well organised for the early birds!

I'm just about to go to sleep - but yeh! Where's the Pics???

Great run all who came! Couldn't believe the sheets of ice falling off the trees between Oberon and Goulburn. That was spectacularly cold, and miserable.

Did anyone hear any more about what was going on near Macquarie Pass? I watched the news and saw no mention of anything requiring 3 highway patrols, a towtruck, a police rescue truck, 2 ambulances, a fire brigade rescue truck and a helicopter with winches... Hopefully not as serious as it would seem.

Awesome day and awesome route Alex! Thank you so much, I had a great day!!!! Some of the roads were epic and the patches of black ice, ice falling from trees, sleet and psudo snow only made it more so! Was intensely cold though. . And then to finish was beautiful sunshine. . Sleep was sooooo good! =)

Also intrigued to know what happened on Macquarie Pass, I suppose that we haven't heard anything must be a good thing.

Thanks again, there are some great photos Alex took on my camera which I will post when I get the chance. Don't know if anyone else was taking any?
