Looking forward to a leisurely run down to Cambewarra for a nice lunch. (Yep, cruiser run for me + Mrs Chuppa).

Would also be keen to know if anyone in an NA at this event would have a deep corn style steering wheel I could suss out? I'm 6' 2'' (185cm) and would appreciate a little more flexibility re my driving position than I have currently.

See you Sunday.

Chuppa

P.S. Jeez I hope this wind disappears though! 'kin cold or what!?

Nice one Victor. You DO have a lot of friends!

Numbers for lunch are rapidly approaching 60! There's a little over 24 hours before absolute final cutoff for lunch bookings.

Thanks for a great day all!

The run down to Berrima was fantastic, besides a few other slower cars in some of the twisty bits. And that dead kitty on the road :frown: Breakfast with great people, doorless bathroom cubicles, and somehow Alex and I lost Hammer after breakfast :|

Thanks to Bryan for organising a brilliant event, one of my favourite runs for ages

Thanks to Michael for leading our little group back to Sydney, braving that deafening cloud of Fourth Reich bikies that surrounded your little smokey Midori

And a big thanks to Alex for sticking around, and Stu for stopping to offer his assistance, after my front left tyre came clean off the rim at 100kph at Bulli Tops on the highway :!:

I got home safe with the spacesaver tyre, thank goodness :)

Overall, can't think of a better way to spend a gorgeous Sunday

Folks,

A great day for MX-5s that's for sure! Especially cruising home with the sun setting and some tunes playing. Hi to all and hope to meet you again soon!

And yes, dessert eventually came! And there was plenty of it!

Great pics, Zohxoco!

At that roundabout, I stopped to let one person through, then six people came through, then a girl in a people mover decided to come on in front of me, then drive very slowly! So there was no chance of me keeping up.

Where did you go after that? I was totally relying on following you guys, so I just stayed on that road and it took me through the main street of Mittagong, then old Hume Highway and finally the Hume Highway. Easy after all that stress from a learner driver in a Kia!

Very happy tired at day's end. Loved the shanks and meringue.

A little pic for you from the car park at Cambewarra. The grass on the right side of the photo was a tad slippery and it was a little interesting when leaving.

If you'd like a high-res version of the above just let me know.

Cheers,

Awesome run guys, sorry we could not make it with you for lunch, but had some plans later in the afternoon... ie work out why my brake lights stopped working.... Me thinks a failed switch!.
Looks like Dom lost one of her NB's shoes on the way back, we pulled over to see if we could assist, but all was in hand... except of course her front passenger tire being parked on the central median strip, whilst the NB was on the left hard shoulder! Well played Dom! Hope you go home OK.
Thanks for organising Bryan and Michael, see you in August for the iceberg run...

Normally I take a few photos but the roads where sooo tight and twisty (in other words, perfect roads for the MX5), that I had to keep both hands on the steering wheel at all times. :D

As for loosing everybody, when I saw Alex and Twiggy get left behind after the turn-off from Hume Hwy, I waited. It took some time for you guys to reverse back to the turn-off. I then crossed the Hume Hwy (and waited on North Bound side), just in case you wanted to head straight back to Sydney. But when I saw guys (Twiggy & Alex) head to Sutton Forest with the rest of the Brunch group, I went on.

That turn off from Hume Hwy certainly caught a few people.
