Plz post your GPS reviews here...
Im looking to buy a new GPS I have a small budget of around $350-400
I want to know where all the revenue cams are.
Easy to use for nubes.
Easy to update maps (without paying for them).
Any recomendations please list the pros and cons your comments etc.

I've used the Tomtom One XL - very user friend i'd say.. Seen some go for $385ish....
I think you have to pay whereis for updated maps but it does come preloaded with 2007/2008 maps. Nice big 4.3" screen - though it does not sound out street names.. It only tells you "at 500 metres turn left".
You could also change the tone of the person talking to you - you can have an american accent talk out aloud, male or woman, etc. etc.
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..

We've got an older Garmin and it's been fine. Very easy to use, doesn't take too long to lock onto satellites. Map updates are simple but you do have to pay. For that matter, I'm not aware of any of the GPS manufacturers that do free map updates. You might get one update for free if it's within a couple of months of purchase, but since this is where they really make their money ...

Hammer might want to check if map upgrades are available for his Navman my icn320 and others I believe were not updated and an unsatisfactory trade in is offered in the now cheaper Navman units. Whilst the news might be good I think it wise to check what ugrades cost for maps and if you are travelling what they cost in other countries. I find the verbal instructions and large visual instructions are the go. I never look at the detailed maps they are too small to be much value. You can buy for $350 easily and cheaper at ALdi when available though I have no experience with them

Hmmm, offering a trade-in eh? Might check that out. Thanks for the tip Mr Morlock.
I have an iCN510. It cost me $980 in 2005.

I've got Tomtom on my N73 pretty good but I'd rather it on its own cause its slow being on a phone
Anyway while where on the topic of GPS units I thought i'd let everyone know this site
http://ozpoi.com/
You can get Point of Interest etc get speed camera redlight camera alerts etc its made for a TomTom but you can use some software to convert it to suit other brands

I have the Navman S80; it's above your budget, but I'm with AJ. It rocks!
Sadly, it is in a Mazda 2 because I still hae no MX5.
