The blown ones keep leaving because the rest aren't any competition.

Ohh and if I can't get a ride. I'll help out.

Maybe I should enter the Skyline or the Polo GTi
You could enter an audi TT but then it would be a sure thing ... that you won't win.

Drag may be the operative term here mate...

Seriously guys, get a licence, a helmet and get out there, it's loads of fun. The Coastal Challenge (run earlier this year) was the same type of event and there are some pics/vids in a post further down the page. If you're not sure, come along to the info night, say g'day and you'll get a very good idea of what happens - there are always plenty of people willing to help you out with info and advice. And besides we've got to hold off the turbo AWD crowd...

Cheers,
T

I promised Rhys that it would only be used for gentle stuff, like a round of the Queensland Rally Championship or something! I can honestly say that it hasn't turned a wheel since it got here. Driving it here was enough for me, first the 13B turbo R100 wanting a drag in Salisbury, then the SS Commodore wanting one in Nathan, and the ambulance fair right up the clacker of those twin pipes at the Kessels Rd lights. This car is bait!! I am starting to think that Rhys is some sort of street racing hoon who has a few kills wanting retribution.
Somehow Cal, I think you also happen to have a blown one in your garage. Drag that out for a run.
I took the MPS to QR yesterday, its a rapid little luxo cruiser. Now I am harbouring dirty thoughts!

I'll be there in the bog standard NA (Roadster) owned 1 week! Sent in the entry form yesterday.
We might not be much competition this year in std form in the speed stages but it should be a great reccy event for next year.
See you all there!

Look forward to it Peter. Its about time some of these earlier cars (who all claim to be the best MX5) made an appearance. Make sure that you come to the info night if you can, else ask any questions you have.
We have just spent the night working on the road book and the tests, and the navigation should be simple enough but with a few tricks thrown in. Hopefully though, the tricks will not hamper anyone who misses them. And believe it or not, the entry fee may have been a touch on the low side. Its amazing how much more things cost each year.

It's retired from competition duties. It really was terrible for those rallies. It's far too low and is setup to handle on smooth surfaces, so used to bash the ground, bump steer and generally trash the paint and bodykit. I'll stick to track combat in Bluey for the time being.

How was the MPS? I've been meaning to ask you if you enjoy it.

Info night - \"An information night will be held in the BSCC club rooms at 8:00pm on Wednesday 18th July. For those crews “not sureâ€, this evening will provide more details on the event and also explain the type of navigation to be used, together with crew and car requirements.\"
More info is available from here
Like it says, even if you're not sure, come along and see what it's all about.
Cheers,
T
