might be worth gettin a wheel alignment though it may not be the problem they may find what is wrong when they go to do it.

dose it feel like the back end is totaly free of the rest of the car or dose it just wobble..?

dose it stop once speed increase or turn into more of a vibration?

check the wheel nuts are tight too..

PP,
I know exactly what you mean - been there!
5s are really sensitive to wheel balance and I had my OEM NB alloys blanced (ask them not to round the wieghts but be as exact as possible) as well as moving wheels to different positions. With the wheels moved, the shimmy semed to be similar but felt a little different depending on where it was. It always felt like ther rear end was shaking in some way or another though...
Visited the local tyre place, explained the problem and sure enough, two of the rims were slightly bent (bloody potholes) but I could only see the problem, just, on one of the wheels. Could feel the flat spots when the wheels weere spun up though...Took the wheels to a wheel repairer they recommended who trued up the wheels and hey presto, no more bum wiggling.
The NB alloys are really quite light (going lighter in aftermarket rims is not easy and mostly expensive) and as a result I suspect they damage a little easir then other (heavier) wheels.

Best of luck,
T

first thing i thought of too JB...........sounds like a tyre may have popped a couple of belts..........considering that a balance & ROTATION has fixed the front wheel wobble 8)

3. One rear rim has a tiny flatspot on the inside, booked to be trued on Thursday am.

That could be your problem right there.

Do you mean buckled as in 'hub face on a different plane to the rim face' i.e wobble, or as in 'kinked rim edge due to pot hole or similar' :?:

the picture's a bit deceptive, as the outer rim is actually not gold at all.
cheap as chips really, $165 per wheel, with my old rubber fitted and balanced - no wobble either, so that eliminates the bulged tyre theory...

 Where did you get those wheels from? I've been looking for something like that...

Got any pics of them on your car?

Pasta,
Could you please provide size & weight for those wheels. I've tried contacted BSA who told me they were 6.5kg - heavier than stock....

Cheers,
