Request time,
I realise I was last in, I need to be on the rollers around lunch time, work can certainly get in the way.

cheers

Yay, my car comes out on top* again with 79.3kw up 5kw from two years ago  No problems with heat soak and some of my bling must actually contribute to the cars performance :)

Thanks to Dave and Caufield Jag for putting on the day.

Some of my pics can be found here :D

Yes, have to agree, big thanks to Dave and Caufield Jag for putting on the day.

A valuable lesson was learnt in that 5th gear, on the 6speed, is 1:1 (not 4th as AVO use)

Cheers for the pics Andrew 8)

Thanks Dave fro a great day.

Seems like the $2.60 mod works fine on my SP.

No problems with leaning out. I barely got above 10.2:1 at any stage.

raw numbers dave can add. When I get a chance I'll compile a spreadsheet and plot the curves of everyone's cars together.

Should be interesting. Great photos as usual Andrew.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks to Dave and Caulfield Jag for a great day.

I got 73.7kw and torque of 2097, up from 72.1 and 1953 last year but still have an AFR around 14.3!!!! Far too lean.

What was obvious was that The Town and Country catback is good for torque as Rod Munro also got great torque figures with a car that has it as its only mod.

I am not sure that any of the other 1.8's(NA or Mb) cracked the 2000 mark.

Now to find someone who knows MX5's and has a dyno to solve the lean running!!!

Peter.
.Now ND2 Roadster prev NC2 Recaro's ,BBS wheels,full exhaust, Tiens NA 1.6.NA 1.8 LE(106RWKW)NC1,NC2.ND 1.5 .

And thanks from me for organization Dave , and for the followup when time allowed a few others to get in too.

The dyno displayed a need to change damper viscosity for the SUs and need to find where the lost top end ~500 RPM (timing or throttle opening).
Another couple of Melbourne's cold night hours (-:
The only thing it did not prove was the new tractibilty of the tripples Vs the twins.
I was a little slow getting some igition timing changes between runs, next time.

Work commitments meant I did not get time to watch the others runs but it appears all enjoyed themselves.

cya soon
