Spur Run 22nd of Jan

Postby KIJIMA » Tue Jan 17, 2006 11:15 pm

Okies, after some frantic pm'ing (sorry to those I havnt got back to yet) here it is, Sunday the 22nd of January 8:30 am at officeworks carpark in Ringwood for a 9am sharp departure, should get to Launching place pub at 9:45am to pick up robbie rat. (dont be late robbie or you will be wearing your balls as earings :o )

From Launching place pub straight thru to healsville for some morning tea (smoko for some) then on up thru the spur to marysville and a few km's up the road to stephensons falls. Okies, total distance to marysville from Ringwood is approx 90km's. (a few more clickometres to stephensons falls)

After admiring the water fall (insert ooohhhh ahhhh's) for those of you who want to get together back at marysville for lunch you are most welcome to stay have a bite to eat and have a chat.

The End.

See you all there! :D

Good luck guys. I drove the Spur last Friday [on my way to Albury] the number of slow tourists on the road made for a very frustrating drive. Most of the way I was stuck behind a 4wd towing a boat, with about 6 slow cars in front of him.
Anyway, I did the return trip Sunday 15th with fingers crossed we'd get a better run. I was dreaming! Was worse if anything.
In my experience, you need to be on the road no later than 6am & preferably mid week for those who can.
On a positive note.......the road surface is probably the best I've seen it.

Good on ya Roni....yeah, young Tom has a thing or 2 to learn
On my recent trip to Albury, I thought I'd have a crack at the Mansfield - Whitfield Rd, ie C521 in the Melway. Fantastic road, and would have been the best part of our Albury trip.
Looking forward to sharing the road with you real soooooon. :P

See ya on a run.......or maybe Port Melb one night.

So how long did it take to get the hardtop of your 'real sports car' Rob?
I seem to remember someone saying it was over a month before the top came off !!!
