VERY NICE!!!!!!

If you dont mind me asking, where did the guards come from and how much??

Did you have to drill holes in your pride and joy to mount them??

Now you have the carbon guards on, did that mean you didnt have to roll/pull the factory guards??

once again, very nice

they come from racing lifestyle in the states. they are 399 usd.

drill holes - thats the less cringy bit. You have to cut the guards to get the clearance!!!!!

its not so bad because you cant really tell.

my reservations include finding GOOD tyres (really like my f1 gsd 3's) not sure how i will go finding something that performs so well in a 7 or 8 inch with. ( will 195/50/15 stretch onto a 7in width???)
:D

I have 195/50/15's on my 15x8.5's

I'd really like to get some flares on my car but cutting the rear guards kind of scares me as you can't just bolt a new guard on like at the front if you want to get rid of the flares

get a wide body kit then - no flares needed. a lot more expensive though.

What would that achieve? You still need to cut the guards to run wheels that will take advantage of the extra guard width, so if you want to take it off you still have problems because theres a heap of metal missing on the rear guards

if you want to go wide - the stock fenders should not be an issue. just cut them or don't go wide its simple.

i spose you are right. if you end up dumping it in the weeds then it might be a problem but if not then no problem.

Did you take any photos while fitting the flares? How much of the guard did you have to cut out, did you have to do anything about a gap between inner and outer guards etc?

no pics of the cutting. on the front you just cut the outer guards and a bit of the plastic inners. on the rear you have to cut both inner and outer metal guards. you basically leave trace down about 1.5 inches from the outside of the flares and cut around that.
