Super Pro bushes - WOW!

we....errr .....(ampz really) removed the whole assembly in 1 hit. then proceed to remove all the bushes & bend one of the arms.

Well thats what I previously thought as well, until I walked in to the house with it. I was asked what it was and when I replied that it was a "G" clamp I was told in no uncertain terms that there was no way in hell that she would allow that 'tool' near her and to take my depraved mind outside and wash it with soapy water. Hence it is now referred to as a 'C' clamp. :lol:

Has anyone had the Superpro kit installed at a suspension shop? What sort of time did they charge for?

I'm keen to try it myself, but don't have the space, tools or know-how.

The thing Andrew pictured is a balljoint press, and unless you get one cheap from the US (where I've seen them advertised cheap but they're heavy so shipping would be a bit), you're talking a ~$200 tool. It's much stronger than a G (or C) clamp, and you can drive it with a rattle gun!

Then you also need a receiver ring for the bushing to fall out in to. The Vic club owns a set sold by Metro Motorsports in the US.

Re the front bushings, the easy way is to only unbolt one arm at a time, then swing it around the ball joint without removing it from the car. Gives plenty of access.

So if it cost $600 for mania to do the two hard ones, at a guess I'd say it'd be about $1000 for the whole set of 4? Was this including the price of the bushes, or were those bought separately?

$600 is the purchase price of the set of bushes, front & rear

Fitting for the fronts was $320

Right. So more likely to be something closer to maybe $1200 or so.

Hmmm... no doubt you'd save some cost on labour if you did new suspension at the same time.
