Thinking of these as a 2nd set of race rims with 205/50/15's on them. What are they worth landed here?

Why are there two valve stem holes?

FWIW I've just had a chat  with Australian Customs about my missing rim and even though the other 3 have been delivered the goods are attracting both GST and Duty as their over the $1000 mark (by $180) Emilio sent the rims as 4 separate parcels so their playing the \"your trying to get out of duty\" card.

Not a real problem except for their new way of doing business. I have to wait for their paperwork to arrive in the post and then send that back so they can calculate what I owe them. They then send an invoice that I can pay by credit card by mailing it back - they suggest it could be another week or two....

I want my rims and I want them now!!! (much stamping of feet)

Two valve holes are for the autocross guys who purge nitrogen through the rim.

FWIW Unless Emilio has stock his next run of rims will be in the US's spring 08. I think he may have only the silver left from the last order.

If anyone else is thinking of ordering a set of these, please let me know. I'm keen if we can talk him into getting them here for under $1K. I'm not interested in getting them tomorrow, so they don't have to come airfreight. Perhaps we can get a couple of sets sent surface mail.

Cal.

PS centre caps are for homos, they look so much better without them. Perhaps he can knock the $180 off the price if we don't want them??

its all good, just want my bloody rim!!

I'd get him to provide two invoices and do the two address things but it really is a lucky dip. Just faxed off the paperwork to customs so is up to them.

That said even if it costs a couple of hundred more their still a cheap rim. I brought in a set of Panasport C8's previously and they cost me $550 a rim and in a 13x8 size weighed 4.8kg. To be able to get a 15x8 that only weighs a kilo more and is the perfect offset for half the price is a bargain!

Hmm....Only problem I can see with them, is getting a set of tyres that would fit nicely. I had 205/50s on my 15x6.5 rims. It looked good, and meant that if I touched the kerb the tyre would be worn, not the rim. 225s on a 15x8 would look...well....retarded IMO. If one is getting a wide rim, why not have a wide tyre aswel?

Well, if you believe the theory, a 205 on a wider rim like a 15x8 is more effective because it sits more squarely on the rim. I must admit my current 6.5" track wheels do make a 205 A048 bellow out at the sides. I will be using these as track only rims so there are not too many gutters to hit (unless I run out of the skillz). I will find out today what the 225's look like on the rim because my tyres are scheduled to be delivered, but technically I am putting a 20mm bigger tyre on a 37.5mm bigger rim so their should be less bellow than my current setup.... we'll see.

The stock indicator on the product page is real time, when I ordered my wheels I saw it drop right away. Unless he has more from the current production run coming he has 17 silver wheels left as of this post, but he is down to 2 black and no nickel.

Emilio designed these wheels so he could run 225/45's on his turbo. You could run something wider but there arent many choices for a wider tyre that isnt too tall like to 245/40 (is there anything in that size available in aus?) I would rather a too big wheel with a slightly strecthed tyre than stuffing a wider tyre on a smaller wheel.
