Just got back from Cape Patten Lookout (approx 10km from AB).
The road is in fantastic condition with only 3 corners a bit dodgy. They have removed the traffic lights from the Cumberland River roadworks but the bridge there is still dodgy. I had a nice big sphincter puckering slide on the way back going over that bridge. That will teach me not to be a clown....
Mr Plod was making his (her?? :P ) presence felt at Kennet River.
The bikini brigade was out in force in Lorne. Hence, we took over an hour to sip out lattes..... 8)
Interesting observation: On the way back home, the traffic was bumper to bumper throughout Geelong and ALL the way to Avalon Airbase. Dunno, that has to be at least 15+km's?? I was just wondering where the hell everyone was going. Lorne was chokka block, as would be (one assumes) most of the other coastal towns. I just don't get it?? I can only imagine the traffic tonight when everyone decides to come home!!!
Anyway, really, really looking forward to doing this run by car tomorrow.
Bob, you said you'll wait by the Hoppers exit. Is that the Forsyth Rd on-ramp? and what time-ish???
Look forward to seeing you all.

:!: Don't forget about the fixed speed, oops, SAFETY cameras on the west gate freeway. You have the Big Bridge, the overhead sign before Millers Road, Forsythe Rd Bridge, Point Wilson Bridge and the Lara/Avalon Bridge. plus there are some in Geelong (combination red light/speed..oops SAFETY cameras).
The ones between Werribee and Geelong are easy to spot as some law abiding individual sprayed yellow lines and BIG c's (for camera  ) on the road before each camera. There was only one "c" on the road Friday night yet today when I went through there were many???
I wonder who did that????

I've asked my roving reporter to take some photos.

I expect to see some from Andrew's uber spensive camera and some video footage too.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Looks like I beat everyone home!

Great run people - big thanks to Chrissy & co. for organising it! It was an honour to chase you lot through the hills in my new toy.

Hope you all get home safely, with all your points intact!
