The weather forecast for Eastern Creek for Sunday 2nd of April indicates a 85% probability of 5-10 mm of rainfall.
Since it will be my first time on the circuit, or any circuit for nearly 40 years, I will be driving very cautiously anyway.
A wet track should allow me to learn more about my car at a lower speed.

You'll be wanting to have a look at this then. Gives you a good idea of where you can expect to see standing water on the track.

CSCA supersprint was Sunday. What a great day I had. A wide range of vehicles from a Ford GT40 to a Holden ute to a Suzuki Cappuccino (657cc mini MX-5) and a Datsun 120Y and out 0f 120 entries, 9 MX-5s with 12 MX-5 drivers.
The day confirmed that I made the right choice of car.
MX-5 is by far the best car for motorsport. A real sports car!
Perhaps a Lotus would be equally suitable at $121,27 drive-away.
I saw a 1998 Elise for $50k.
My 1998 MX-5 cost me $7k.
I'm sure I had as much fun as any of the Lotus drivers and a lot more fun than one of them.

I'd not seen the North Circuit before. I rode a motorcycle around the South Circuit last year on a Honda demo day.
I found the main straight a bit scary, hitting the rev limiter in 4th 3/4 of the way down. As the day progressed i got into 5th (5 speed) but still braking before turn 1. I'm not brave enough yet to enter turn 1 at 180+.
Glad i had the Torsen but 4.1 would have been better than 4.3 for this circuit.
4.3 should be better for South Circuit and Wakefield.
I did manage to catch and pass a BMWMini.
Best lap was 1:29.282
I'm surfing the web now looking for photo's
Next round of the CSCA Supersprint Series is on Saturday 13th May at the North Circuit again. Run by the Jaguar club.
23rd April MX-5 Club track day at Wakefield.
