Sydney Motor Sport Park, NSW Club Class Records

Set out below are the current MX-5 Club of NSW class lap records for Sydney Motorsport Park (formally Eastern Creek) and includes Club cars competing in the State Supersprints and the FoSC series where possible.
The records commence in 2012 following track changes that now has four layouts, being Brabham (Extended), Gardner (GP), Druitt (North) and Amaroo (South) circuits.
Although the Club only holds events on the South Circuit, I thought the recording of times for the other circuits would be valuable for those who compete in the State Supersprint series.

Nice one Phil!

It looks like you've missed a couple of Steve Green's times in 3B ... he's run on the South circuit and North circuit at this year's supersprint rounds.

Also, I did a 1:21.5876 in my stock NA6 at the CSCA Supersprint on the North circuit on 6th May 2012. Natsoft results are here.

not as quick as some but did 1.06.1 today. Im not in the club though...
car is 2B for sprints and 2F for racing and road registered so no idea where it goes haha

Fastest MX-5 - Matilda in her SP with a 1:02.3698.

Records now contain Club Meeting on South Circuit and Supersprint on North Circuit from last weekend, 27 & 28 October 2012.

If you are a Club member with one of the models that has yet to establish a lap record for your class, get along to the next meeting and see if you can get your name "in lights". :wink:

What is really interesting is that members who compete in the State Supersprint Series are generally those who hold the records, even though their cars sometimes don’t have as much power as the cars placed below them. Why? Time behind the wheel at the track goes a long way in dropping your times.

Allan, I've had think about this one. You're unique at this time because no one else is running a Clubman.

You're in the modified class in Club racing but would probably fall into the stock class in Supersprint, even though the car is fitted with LSD std. The same will apply to the 10AE and Heritage models, but I'll cross that bridge if we come to it.

So I will create a line for you that says NA8A Clubman. You owe me a beer.

I'll claim a lap record for modified NA8C on the North circuit. 1:20.291 at the SS round on the 28th. I know it's a crap time but I offer mitigating circumstances of a collapsed gearbox centre bearing, no synchro in 2nd and 3rd and running on 3 1/2 cylinders with no fuel above 6500. :evil:
