Off top of my head I'd look at similar to what was done for the 2012 AASA champs, three classes being
2B
2F
Clubman
now please forgive me here typing below as I have only really thought about this on the 3 hour drive home and I couldnt take notes driving so I am thinking out loud!!!!!!!
basically the 2F and 2B cars will be built close to the CAMS specs. However if a 2F car doesnt run a passenger seat, they stay in 2F. With CAMS that puts them in 2B.
Daniel Byron posted some class regs ages ago for clubman class, I'll see if I can find, I think they are on the MX5 challenge facebook page. I'd look at running similar to that for clubman. I dont think they'll need to change, however can always be reveiwed.
Clubmman - from memory it was suspension, brakes, intake and exhaust. no ECU and no built motor.
2F - as mentioned, built to 2F cams spec but still needs to run semi slicks. If you dont run door trims? dont care! still in 2F. run with only a drivers seat? thats ok! no aero mods though. engine wise as long as it complies with 2F no issues. ECU, cams, heads, pistons etc are fine. if you run slicks you are in 2B for rest of series.
2B would be anything with a rear wing (T wing) and aero. can run slicks or semi slicks. pretty much go nuts.
turbo would fall under 2B for now regardless if 1.6, 1.8, 2L or even superchagred. cant recall the last time we had a force fed car run with us. again, as in 2B slicks or semi slicks allowed.
my thoughts are though if you run slicks one event, you'll need to run slicks for the series unless its raining. wets are allowed for 2B only.
events only run at MRA (unless FoSC give us a round at SMP South?)
so points would be
75 points per class race per round.
1st - 25
2nd - 20
3rd - 15
4th - 10
5th - 5
trophy race even if you came 6th, 5th,1st (1st in trophy) and someone else came 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, the trophy race win gets the trophy of the day so the final scores go towards the champiopnship if that makes sense?
so thats what I have thought about thus far.
