Is there usually full list of all the times for the day posted anywhere? I reckon I managed a pretty good run for a "first time ever", now I need to start stat-whoring to polish my ego :)

I knew you would have a great time! I expect a full recount over a beer or two!

How come Wakefield Park doesn't upload to 'natsoft'? :(

We don't use natsoft timing, its hand timed, unfortunately.

Barges did well, very happy for all involved today. I had a few offs, sorry if I scared anyone. Ill be back to tackle the barges in late Jan. :)

Wakefield does, all depends what event is being run.

Thanks for that - the new system being used at QR and Lakeside is perfect! We still get the printed sheets for each group after each run but if you have the 'lapceiver' that displays in-car lap times and stores them, even better!!

I'm sure John Tetley [QR & Lakeside] is looking to roll them out across the Country eventually

Thanks "Charlie Brown" for taking my daughter out .... (bet no one has said that to you for a while!) .... in the beginners session, and showing her the way around Wakefield.
She was very impressed with your tutoring, and it was a big part of her having a great day.
The only downside for her was that she ended up with a PB just under a second slower than her brother's PB on his track debut in the same car at a Trackschool day at Wakefield the previous week.
I sense some healthy competition brewing between them :-)
They are already scheming with their mother, my wife, on excluding me from the next track day so both of them can drive. Game on!

Ah but she can say the day (& track) was very hot and most people were a second slower than normal. 8)

I think you may need to build another car, otherwise you won't be driving much. :D

Hayden was close to 3 seconds slower also

Even the NC's were running 1/2 second slower

I was running around 2 seconds off atleast. However, there was reasons why I was slower outside of temperature conditions.

Hayden's slower times probably had something to do with tyres that were almost down to the canvas!

In my standard NA6 I finished with a best lap of 1:16.37 which is 0.57s slower than my PB. Was consistently losing time on the long straights despite having good exit speed from the corners. My car was clearly lacking a little power in yesterday's hot & humid conditions.

I had a very close call in turn 2 on the last run. I was following Gus's NB and he lost control exiting the turn. I saw it coming but was already mid-slide and had to pull it up quickly to avoid a nasty collision. It all worked out safely in the end. 8) Unfortunately I didn't get any of it on video because the memory card was full.

So after my bodge to get the alternator connected again I made it about 10km down the road before it died again on the side of the Hume. Luckilly, dad was in a generous mood so borrowed a trailer and came and picked me up.

Achievement Unlocked! right...?
Trailered home from (almost) Wakefield

Still, in the two sessions I did get in I had quite a few laps in the 14's and one that was within a 10th of my PB. Given the conditions, I'm pretty happy.
