Illawarra Chapter Daylight Savings Run

Date: Saturday 24th November
Meet: Hungry Jacks Haywards Bay (10 Macquarie Place, Haywards Bay)
Time: 3:00pm for 3:30pm start

Details: An afternoon run through the Southern Highlands to take advantage of daylight savings, ending with fish and chips at Werri Beach. We'll head up Macquarie Pass, along Tourist Road, and back along Kangaloon Road for a brief stop at Robertson Pie Shop. From there we'll continue down Jamberoo Mountain Road and up Saddleback Mountain for a stop at the lookout, then on to Werri Beach Fish Shop for some top notch fish and chips at the beach.

RSVP: Not required, but please add your name to the list below if you intend on coming so I can give Werri Beach Fish Shop a warning including rough numbers.

What a fabulous afternoon/evening!

27 people in 15 MX-5s! (I think that count is right)

The drive up and down the escarpment is my favourite loop in the area - shame about the slow traffic (but Fiona wasn't complaining!).

Werri Beach Fish Shop was an inspired choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our battered snapper, crumbed flathead, crumbed calamari and chips with plenty of malt vinegar. Yummo!

And of course the company was as excellent as it was diverse. What a great bunch of people.

Congratulations Kieren for organising and leading a great run!
