I've been on Brass Monkeys with Mini Coopers, DB2s & 6s, Lotus Elite and other assorted hard tops. I would rather drive top down windowws up that in a tin top with windows down. If you register for breakfast in a tin top then you can still run the Brass Monkey without a top to take down.

I doubt if a WRX would be welcomed with open arms but a hard top sports car does not appear to cause a problem. Nobody would make a soft top drive top down. The top down thing is really a request more than a rule that is not enforced.

I apologise if I did not make contact with you about a request from Terry Bancroft from the AHOC send in your $16.00 urgently to get numbers for catering purposes. I am aware of the problem for those people who do not have a cheque account. Terry suggests that for those who cannot pay by cheque we adopt the following procedure:-

A. Ring Terry on 0409 323 133 and give him your name and numbers.

B. Terry will give you an account to EFT your money into to be tagged with your name.

C. Send a self addressed envelope with your name as the addressee to AHOC, PO Box 3027, LLandelow, NSW, 2747.

D. AHOC will post you out your ticket(s).

ALTERNATIVELY

E. Make an arrangement with Terry to collect your ticket(s) on the day.

F. Still post AHOC your envelope with your name as the addressee and pick it up your tickets and envelope on the day.

To help Terry with catering I restart the list again and ask you to note if you have paid and for how many. I have given Terry a link to this thread to help him plan the event.

I suspect we will get somewhere between 20 - 30 :NA6: with 30 - 40 people for breakfast as we have 18 on the list at this stage. The biggest roll up was 29 :NA8: in 2008 and the last time it went to Mudgee in 2005 I recall it was myself, John Burgess and another :NB8A:. Let us hope a :NB8B: is first into town for the third year (it will not be me as I doubt if I will be third time lucky) and we get more that 30 :NC: on the Brass Monkey tin 2011.

Red 93 x2 paid and if you go with your roof up you should SERIOUSLY ask yourself why you bought a convertable , the rule used to be roof down or windows open , all the way ,that is the spirit of the event and has been since I have been going on this run from the early 80's.

If you need 98 RON fuel  you can fill up between the end of your breakfast and 10.15  when we leave for the Return Run from outside the Mudgee Bowling Club OR pull out for fuel in Bathurst and catch up at the Tarana Hotel OR wait to refuel in Lithgow. Alternatively there is plenty of fuel in Richmond or on the Great Western Highway through Katomba to Penrith.
