A few people have asked about changing the colours on the heater controls.
I can't be bothered ripping mine out of the car, so I got one from Mania to pull to bits.
I hope this heaps.

Yeah, great stuff!!
But I'm the world's worst solderer, so I might give it a miss

Find someone like Liam who has the skills and offer them dinner in return.

My reputation precedes me!
I just looked at that and thought it would be cool to change the aircon light to another colour, just because I can

If anyone wants to do this, I have many hundreds of 5mm red, green and blue LED's that you are free to snag if you need some.

I turned my temp a bit too fast this morning and I think it might have disconnected because it doesn't seem to work
is it possible for the wire to diengage?
how do you remove the unit? is it similar to the factory headunit?

Thanks Okibi, I found the problem, just like in your picture, there is a wire loop that goes around that tab, it had come off.
For anyone else wonderin it's located on the drivers side just about the transmission tunnel, not hard to see once you have your head in the drivers side footwell
