I'm surprised it's approved for road use.
IMO it's impractical and unsafe. It will be difficult to grab in emergency situations. If you had to quickly grab the steering wheel for an emergency manoeuvre (ie. a swerve or an oversteer/understeer correction manoeuvre etc), you'll be toast.

either:
1. you're a aero pilot;
2. you live your Gran Turismo dream in a real life car; or
3. you are wun911 and you have an obsession with weight reduction

What a cool pic, I presume the \"L\" stands for Lightweight...
Its kinda good it forces you to have both hands on the wheel all the time. Fingers might have trouble reaching the indicators.

There's one thing missing.....
Oh, that's right. Missile launcher buttons on the top of the hand grips. Even if they don't work.

that thing is ridiculous... well think about it, airplane steering is around for a loong time and if it was easy to use em on the cars, we would all be using this thingy in our cars...
who would want to put that thingy on his/her car anyways....

Uhhh... I've heard of Japlish, Engrish, and Chinglish.... but after reading the Nardi link, there is obviously Italish:
\"News: The TWO SPOKES is the steering wheel of the future
... fearless to be denied, this is the first innovative product presented and patented by Nardi-Personal S.p.A. ...
The Two Spokes represents a big revolution among the steering wheels for both concept and use: in fact the big crown disappears and the shape is totally new!
Thanks to this new design, the view of the cockpit is not hidden anymore and the internal space for the legs grows considerably.
The frame is made of two simple spokes (from which the name) which design reminds the shape of classical wooden steering wheels which have characterized Nardi's trademark history.
:: At the end of the spokes there are two handles, covered by soft leather, that remind the airplanes cloches.
The invention is based on the fact that this two handles are free to move and turn around on their own axle, as they are connected with the steering wheel with balls bearing.
The feeling with this product is immediate: if it is true that you can drive the car with a single hand, it is also true that this creation increases security both in a challenging and in a relaxed drive: the driver is, in fact, obliged to have both hands on the steering wheel and, last but not least, at the right position of 9:15!
Evolutions of this new wheel could be innumerable.
:: The curiosity increases... and a new way to taste the pleasure of driving rises, with Nardi's tradition, innovation and precision!\"
