Boot Light ?

the boot light stopped working when i open the boot...
i had a quick look last night and can see the plastic cover can slide over but wont come off...
what should i be checking?
how do i take out the cover to check the bulb?

Does it work when the parking lights are on?
According to the owners manualy you slide it in the direction of the arrow and it pops out. But I didn't have any luck getting mine out, but then I didn't try very hard.

havent checked if it works with the parking lights on...ill check tonight...
only started yesterday after getting it back from getting my boot/bumper repsrayed from my little truck incident months ago.
what could they have missed ? all the plugs seem plugged in and fine from my little inspection yesterday.

Is the switch mounted correctly (as the panel beaters may have removed it to paint).

The switch is attached to the boot lock. If you look behind the trim at the rear of the boot you'll be able to see it

Slide and pull down a bit, its quite hard to get out, comes out at about the same moment you think you are going to break it

well i pried out the light case with a screwdriver and turns out both LED's are blown....weird...
time for some LED's
