Anyone have a spare db37 megasquirt fly lead harness to sell?
Or I'm I better off making one out of jaycar parts?

I'm about to buy tuner studio. Should I buy mslogviewer also?
I only need TS to auto tune right?

The latest beta includes both. But I'm old school and still use them separately

MS3 SD logging - what transfer rates do people get when pulling logs from the SD Card in TS?

I'm averaging about 30KB/s which is not nearly fast enough - is there a "native usb" mode or something I've overlooked?

Answering my own question; I asked the same question on the msextra forums, my 80Mb of logs are "very large" and 30KB/s is "a bit slow"....

Pulling the SD card and sneaker-netting it is the only solution.

Here is my solution to this problem.

This makes it easy to get access to the SD card.

I have an intermittent problem with my MS3 Pro installation. Car occasionally cuts out, but only under load. It's getting more frequent now. It NEVER cuts out in cruise, only when you get up it!

I will post up log and tune file:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5jRR ... DFub3RDWjA

at 335.9 seconds RPM Dips, AFR goes vertical up, TPS Dives, MAP Dives. In that order. Anybody got any ideas, AFR going silly first, makes me think it might be the Wide Band O2 sensor. When it cuts, the tacho (in dash) goes to zero RPM, it won't refire for about 3 to 4 seconds. It's as if the ECU has switched spark off for some reason. Note that the ECU processor continues to run so there is no loss of 12 volt supply. No loss of sync.

I'm thinking that maybe something (short circuit) might be dragging the 5 volt sensor supply down. (I need to borrow a voltage recorder from work to check this)

Any clues?

Note to self....must log dwell...for next test drive.

Looks like it's activating the AFR safety since that setting has been turned on and your target AFR is 12.7 at that point while the AFR reading is 13.5

Yes precisely correct, tracing back through old msq's it seems i turned AFR protection on way back on 28 February 2016. So the MS3Pro is doing EXACTLY what I asked of it! AFR got slightly lean and the ECU shut the engine down. Good news indeed. Thanks for your amazingly fast and accurate response to my dilemma. I don't ask many questions here but I am astounded how helpful, fast to respond and knowledgeable people are.

thank you

I just fixed an intermittent issue where the A/C only seemed to work when I was driving slow...

The MS3Pro was set to disable the compressor over 64km/h, I don't remember turning that on, but there it was, turned on and working exactly as requested

Red_Bullet , Cus, and others with MS3:

fyi there is a new firmware out for the MS3 1.4.1, if you haven't already upgraded.

odd... you'd think that would be mainly for the a/c fan or cooling fan, not sure why you'd want the AC to stop when going over any speed ???

i have an ms2 i bought a few years back second hand from this forum.

i haven't fitted it to my car yet.

couple of questions about if I can re configure it to suit my needs.

it is for an nb8a (which my car is).

but its setup for itb and a MAF delete (something about a vac line measurement instead?)

is there a way to change it so it would work with stock single throttle body and for a boosted application or is that not possible?

The "Setup for ITB" is probably a setting in the tune, start with a fresh base map instead of trying to use the tune that's already in the ECU. The MAF delete is a side-effect of the physical ITB setup, but it's also what you'll want for running boost.

Unplug and remove the MAF, run a vacuum line from the intake manifold (the NA6 has a spare barb right after the throttle body, NA8 might need a "tee" into an existing vacuum line) to the vaccum port on the MS. Depending on the MS you have and how it was setup, you should be good for up to 3Bar of boost.
