Hi,

Resurecting a post from the dead here but have you done a Qtr mile or lap times in this car?

I'm looking at selling my mini in favour of a MX5. I already have most of the gear required to turbocharge the car and want t know if I'm doing the right thing.

Kind regards,

JC

nope no Qtr mile, going to go more boost very soon. i just wanted to run 5psi to see how the motor liked it.

the motor is still fine also so is the drive-train.
you wont regret going down the mx5 path

Thanks Glen,

Just had a stickybeek at your car on cardomain, looks good. Like the seats and the wheels, lightweight = the right weight.

The position the turbo is mounted in - is that common practice as it looks pretty high. Are you able to retain your a/c?

Thanks again.

to keep the aircon i would have had to go a smaller IC. also i wanted the microtech setup with out the mucking around of running the AC through it aswell.
i made the decision to get rid of it as it is a convertable after all.
that turbo is mounted off a greddy manifold, i think the avo ones are mounted much lower. See \"juffa's Trials and tribulations\" thread. i think he is using a avo mani.
