Hi People

I am wanting to purchase these rims in black

I would like to also purchase a set of Yokohama Advan AD08 in 235/40/17

Reason as to why I am asking is that these wheels in 17 inch only come in 7.5 width, so is it stretching the tire too much?

Also what offset would I want to fill the guards and to not scrub (I am running on the stock suspension right now), and I do not want to roll the guards. It appears that in the 114.3 stud pattern, the offset provided is 40 or 50

Just some extra info, bore diameter (whatever that is) is 72.6, is this something to do with requiring a hub ring?

These are also stated as being 17.5 pounds, are they heavier than stock?

Thank you, patiently awaiting your input!

I had 17x7 45et with 225x45 tyres and they fitted ok(NC1) but just and you certainly wouldnt put 17x7.5 et40 and 235's on without having clearance problems based on my experience.
Hope someone else has had experience closer to what you are looking at.

Peter.

Can't help wondering why you would spend the dough to get an additional 1/2" over std.
I any case a 235 will be baggy on that rim...I thought once/twice/thrice before putting them on an 8" rim.

Yeah I was thinking that, I just like the look of the rims and also the fact that it's light(ish), and the same reason as you quoted, I think I'll get a set of wheels which are 8-8.5 wide, any suggestions? I would preferably want 17x8-8.5 offset 47-50, as I don't want to roll the fenders
