I was just wondering if keeping brake balance as intended my mazda is all about the ratio’s. Like just say you were to put some big brakes on both front and rear is it as simple as ensuring that the ratio of things like, piston area, disk size, pad area etc are kept as close to stock as possible. I spose with the exception of using a bigger master cylinder in proportion to the requirements of the calipers.

This is a just a theory question, I am not converting my rear bakes – yet.

You can always re-set balance afterwards with a brake proportioning valve.
