what i'd like to do with the broken wheel is to test a paint job on it.
i'm feeling something like this:

probably just me, or maybe it's the photo, but the wheel looks like it reflects with a bronze/gold/yellow sort of tone.
i dunno, i'm not much of a paint guy, but i'd like to paint a good, solid coat or two of bronze/dark gold colour, then do matte black over to top of that, in the hope that i might get a similar sort of reflection to the wheel on the above car, or just a nice sort or two-tone matte colour.
obviously the matte black coat would need to be thin/thinner than the previous coat(s), but i'd want to just to a rattle can spray job on 'em, 'cause i don't own an air compressor/spray equipment.
if this test job comes up well, i'll apply to the rest of my wheels, then hopefully get some bolt on spacers (25mm-ish) and rock these wheels instead of coughing up $1500-$3000 for wheels/new tyres. i'll hopefully be getting a set of coil-overs later on this year and really giving my car a good dropping.
let me know what you (more experienced) guys think. whether 25mm (or bigger?!) spacers are a good/bad idea on all four wheels, whether or not trying to get a two-tone paint job out of spray cans is do-able, or whether or not i'm just wasting my time and should just save up for new wheels and tyres!
thanks in advance.
