I would have suggested brake pads.... The hitting the bumps might just be enough for the metal clips etc holding the pads in, to move onto the disc perhaps?
I'd just whip the wheel off and have a quick look at the pads and condition of the disc for starters. Mine started doing this a few months ago, and eventually got worse.... Turned out to be needing new pads.
