My SS are set to about 1cm lower than factory with a few extra mm on the drivers side to allow for weight on that side. Not properly corner weighted by any means but the 50/50 distribution of the MX5 makes an equal setting about right.

FWIW i have my dampers set to 10/10, 16 be hardest for the road and 14/12 for the track.

I have mine on around 10/10 for the street and 16/15 for the track . I am finding they aren't siff enuff for my liking on track I may get a beefier spring i think

Yeah, it's the springs that will really make a difference to the feel of the car on the track but you don't want to overspring the dampers. I found the harder I went on the shocks, the more grip I had on smooth surfaces but as soon as I came through a bumpy section it was loosing grip. Makes sense.

Mine are set as they came out of the box(aust delivered) and are at the same height front/rear.

Out of the box settings for my SS also.

Set to 10/10, must play with the settings some day :D

That's the best part. Try setting it to 15 clicks from hard (softest setting) and drive it for a day, then go to full hard and the difference is incredible and way more than I was expecting.

Raised a tiny bit at the front is the best setting for a car around a race track. Though I haven't tried it to find out.

What's the basis for setting up this way then and what car are we talking about here?

Better grip all round IE acceleration and more stable under brakes. Works for just about all Front Engined RWD.

Mine are set to the height recommended by Tein in Japan.

I usually run them on about 6 clicks (from softest) or softest when the mrs is driving.

I've got mine set to same height as it was when it came out the box. I drive them 3 clicks off the hardest. Surprised that others have theirs so soft?

It all depends on the streets you drive on. Where I live there is a lot of redevelopment going on so they are constantly digging the road up and re filling it. Stiffer does not mean more grip if the spring can't rebound quick enough to follow the road.

When I said "out of the box" I mean't height.

I have tried a few different settings for hardness and have compromised on 9 off hard front 10 rear.

When I picked the car up it was on full hard and I couldn't believe the grip and ride on the freeway, but went softer after a few days on Geelong's patched up"streets"!!!

These things are so far in front of the Koni/King,Koni/ Eibach combinations I have had before its not funny.

I guess the only thing yet to be proved is durability.
