Don't go more than 1 inch or you'll bottom out over stuff, and just do the shocks as well, you wont believe the difference, considering your stockies are 10 years old and well shagged. Heard the Eibachs are much easier to live with. not as harsh as the Kings.

Those NA8B auto wheels would have looked on my car good too.....
Kings and Konis, but I'd like to have tried the Eibachs and KYB AGX's on her. JBT is showing them off now on his beastie, but he had a cheap courier... i.e. AJ!

Re:
It was lowered more than an inch but he also changed his shocks as well. If you lower your car too much, your standard shocks will sh!t themselves. Seeing as they're 10 years old, i's be inclined to change them anyway. Doesn't cost any more in labour but will allow you to go lower and also improve the handling.waynus wrote:BTW Craig, was your blue car only lowered only by an inch? It looked much lower than standard height. I wouldn't have thought an inch would make that much difference.

It does but the springs sag over time to it can turn into more over time, bit like the wife bits!

My car is a daily driver and I have th Koni shock/Eibach spring combo and am VERY happy with it. You can still feel the bumps but it's not harsh at all. Body roll is almost non-existent and response through the steering wheel has improved. It is an excellent compromise.waynus wrote:Yes i've talked to Les already, and he recommends the Koni/Eibach combo which are easier to live with for daily driving.

Bollocks, the Kings are way to soft IMHO
There's two types for sale, yours are probably the progressive ones, and I was running thick sways to so bollocks right back at you!

King/Koni or Eibach combo is a pretty good performance Package. Its very simple & extreemly effective. Not too many adjustments possible so quite hard to get wrongly set up.
However.....Ive heard of quite an alarming amount of cars listing to one side. a few mm ....no one would care. I've seen 1 car ......30mm
Now thats a worrie. 2 shocks were replaced under warranty. after the warranty replacement it still listed to 1 side......but the car was sold shortly afterwards. in a lot of casese it is not just the pretensioning issue when installing
I got my King/koni package by default. Went into a suspension place asked them to lower it. No idear what they put in at the time.....did't know/understand or care. It turned out....King springs. 4 weeks later my OEM shock were knackered.......
It took me another 8mths to save up for some decent shocks. at that stage i'd discovered the big forum. lots of info. Koni was the only way to go.
My king springs have sagged as well. I'm in the middle perch. I've had to compensate. Thatsd how much they've sagged. ....thats tragic.
If i was to do it again. I'd go all the way and seriously consider the Bilstein PSS9 . I'd be way to scared to to touch the King/koni package.

I did warn you before I got in the car !

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
