I guess I'm teasing myself John...10 months have passed and all I've achieved is the body work

It started its life with me looking like this!

franjae wrote:Danny, did that work out cheaper from Japan? Or did you get the car minus the bits at the same time?
Hi Franjae, I bought the hard top separate to the car. It was definitely cheaper buying it from Japan. Probably worked out at about $3,000 landed....somewhat cheaper than the dealer.
I bought the NC shell from Japan as well...it's just that I'm not using all of the bits that were originally part of the car

Jules

Sorry I hadnt responded earlier to this thread, I got a bit distracted. As soon as Garry finished the install I had to head straight back to Tamworth for a family emergency and then I just forgot about the thread.
I am very happy with the bars, just what I wanted. They are certainly not a race setup or for that matter a hard core road set up. They have simply taken out a lot of that standard body roll and given more confidence in the feel of the car. Its a great compromise for a car dríven regularly if you dont want a stiff ride (just waiting for a Craig comment on this one). If I want my fillings shaken out I'll take the STI for a drive.
A big thanks to Garry for fitting them. I was virtually no assistance and spent most of the time watching the V8s on TV, not too mention having to leave as soon as he was finished.
