Bridgestone re001's are as good as everyone says they are. Amongst all the plusses cant get over how quiet they are!

Peter, Yes they are the Chapparals from R Speed; Currently $122 Us each plus $380 Us for postage.(around $1000aus)They were $149 when i bought mine a couple of years ago!!!!!

They are an excellent wheel, great finish but a little heavier then the ROTA RB's 7.2 kg versus 6.3 , I think.I have not noticed any problems with the extra weight.

The Rota's are about $730US9 (830 aus) inc freight and nuts from 18 Racing, and are lighter. Finish is good.

couldn't go wrong with either in my opinion,

Peter

Volk Racing CE28N - 16 X 7 +25
No guard rolling required, 14.4 KG with tyres/ full air.

Honestly I was a bit skeptical on how light it is, so I measured my old 17\" RPF1 on the same scale then on 'Pack n Send' scale before sending them off to Sydney. To my surprised...\"Homemaker\" $19.95 scale is bloody accurate :).

FYI RPF1 + RE001 215/40/17 is 16.8 KG, which is still lighter than OEM NB8B combo.

so your 17' RPF1's were lighter than the OEM 16'?

it seems like all up you saved around 10+ KG's of unsprung weight over stock.

how much did the CE28N cost?

If you don't mind "alike" there are these

Rota D2
They have alot of shops online in eBay America that sell Rotas... often shipping to Oz...
my guess is about 700-800 landed? (don't quote me on that though)

I had DC5 before, they are quite light...around 7KG for 17\". One of the lightest in Lenso range. You cant compain about the price either. I reckon they are great value for money.

The other two styles are quite heavy...get DC5 I'd say :)

If you are thinking about the 17" its around 12KG!!!...Yes, they are super heavy.

Definitely, reducing 2.5 KG from each corner is quite significant. Feels even better now :). The Goodyear...its OK but I still prefer RE001.
I have been thinking to replace them with RE001, but they cost $220 compared to $170 for T1R.
