
I switched the Integra to steel as I was going to swap wheels and just never got around to doing the MX5. That said, when I recently went to swap tyres at North Rocks KMart Tyre, I was pleasantly surprised that the guys used a torque wrench on my car.
Like nanotech said, you can just afford to be that little bit rougher with steel nuts. I've seen alloys cross threaded quite easily but you've got to be quite an oaf to do it with steelies.
