NC Exhaust replacement

Just dynoed a single muffler/replacement reasonator Town and Country exhaust for my recently acquired NC and it picked up 2.2 RWKW. and some midrange power and torque.Best part is the note, lovely purring almost BMW 6 sound under power, a few little pops on de-acceleration and when changing gears BUT OE quiet on constant throttle cruise. Sound can be varied easily with shorter reasonators, but at my age I like the quieter version!

At the moment I have a single outlet but it is easy to put a dummy in place to balance the look, not sure if I will bother.

Doing the Vic Club run this weekend if anyone is interested in hearing it .

Peter.

It's great that T&C have developed a replacement exhaust for the NC to compliment their highly regarded NA & NB offerings.

Are u running headers also?

I'd be careful with drone if u decide to add them at a later date

No headers at this stage but if i did put them on i would change the midpipe and even with the 30% or so increase in volume most people report with headers I am sure it would be fine.Basically factored it in from the start. This exhaust can be as efficient but really quiet if need be.
Have done a bit of experimenting and dynoing and the standard rear set up is surprisingly efficient(and underwhelming in sound!) so headers are obviously the big KW catchers

Thanks for your input Regie.

Did Reefton last Sunday with standard exhaust and today with modified one.You could really feel the midrange improvement, surprised me as i wasn't giving the car as hard a time but it was quick.Happy camper!

Just dynoed a twin muffler T&C set up and it made 94.2 RWKW,so results so far are Standard 90.7, single T&C 92.9.Twin T&C 94.2 .Both modified systems have better midrange power and Torque.
