Just looking again ... what's going on with the hose to the BOV? One end at the CAI is doubled over and zip tied, the other end at the TBI looks open

Yeah, something dodgy with this, no BOV - there should be a BOV connected to the TB elbow which feeds back into the CAI.

You should find out why the PO did this (probably because they wanted to hang onto their aftermarket BOV).

Just noticed that myself! WTF?

I'm guessing this would cause compressor surge, and also cause some issues with the ECU not seeing the air come back through the intake?

Going to go and have a look at this car this afternoon...

Turns out it had just been taken off so that a stock bypass valve could be installed, which was on the car when I looked at it.

Ended up buying it...

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks Dave.

Also has an aftermarket FMIC, HKS EBC, and BC Racing coilovers - any chance you know the car? Possibly owned by a club member?

It could me Michael's old car perhaps, hard to say. Either way those mods are a great start.

If you have a little left in the budget consider an Adaptronic it will really make a nice difference. It will make similar power Kenny, Neal's or my car (167HP - not a lot) but a lot more fun to drive. I'm sure either one of us would be happy to take you for a spin so you can compare to yours.
