I got this from Mazda today:

Mazda Australia’s attack on the 2010 Targa Tasmania officially kicks off today with day one of competition set in the State’s north. To add to the fun, you can track Mazda’s race cars live on www.mazdamotorsport.com.au

Stay tuned to this dedicated site as Mazda’s two turbocharged race cars campaign the world’s toughest tarmac rally. Leading the Mazda charge is an E85-powered RX-8 SP dríven by South Australian Steve Glenney. Victorian Brendan Reeves will debut a showroom-spec New Generation Mazda3 MPS.

This state-of-the-art tracking system, powered by Precision Tracking, lets you see where the cars are at any time during the racing stages with data refreshing every ten seconds.

Mazda has high hopes for the RX-8 SP that finished a stunning 10th outright on debut at last year’s event at the hands of Glenney. After one year of testing, the RX-8 SP and Glenney are back to race in the event’s fiercely contested Modern Competition.

Meanwhile Reeves who, in a previous-generation Mazda3 MPS was the fastest two-wheel drive showroom car at last year’s event, has his eye on the Showroom podium with his brand new racing machine.

Visit the Mazda Motorsport site and get Twitter updates from the Mazda media team, Mazda’s factory drivers and Targa ‘Double Zero’ safety car driver Ed Ordynski as well as daily news and video reports, images and up-to-the-minute event results.

So unfortunate what happened to Steve and the RX8. There were high expectations for that car, and rightly so. The SP program for the RX8 could really have done with a win. Apparently you can order one though?

The MPS3 performed well though, again!

Hey - looks like Chris got some of his NC's covered on the video page:
