Just after a bit of advice. I just bought some new toyo 888s and I need a starting point for pressures.
I'm doing a hillclimb this weekend and thought 28 front and 30 rear would be ok.
What do you guys with these tyres use.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Olboy

Olboy,
Try 25 cold and work from there.

Depends on the hillclimb length. You mostly start with cold tyres and finish with warm (not hot) ones. I'd be going for a mid range pressure all round and go from there.

On a track you start from 24-26 hoping to warm up to about 30 for best grip. On a hillclimb you might as well start at 30 coz there's usually no time to gain heat.

Ever notice how rare it is to get everyone agreeing on anything in this forum? :D

Most Hill-climbs are < 60secs. You can expect only 2 - 3psi pressure change.
29 psi is spot on.

Started with 30 alround, ended up with 27 front and 25 rear cold.
Pressures were rising by 1& 1/2 lb on the outside wheels and the car was a oversteering a little so I probably need to adjust the front bar up one hole.
Its on soft now and the rear is on hard.
thanks for your help
