Money, to run a 2F NA mx5 middle field is big dollars, unless you have a lot of talent.
While my car handled and stopped well. It lack power, my 1597cc 100 hp was not going to cut it. I didn't feel like spending 10k plus on a mx5 race motor was money well spent.
I was asked to run with PSCRAQ, but pointed out running 2 seconds off the back of the field, was not my idea of fun.
So I weighed up my options, tried Excel cup racing. Good hard running, but the cars handle like poo and changing wing mirrors and panels every time you go out.... Well it's not for me

Had MSC or rules as such, had been set up here in QLD, I more than likely would still be running in an mx5.
The way I look at it is MSC puts the production back into production sports car racing.
Sorry if it seems soft but getting lapped by high HP cars is not my idea of fun. Just my 2 cents

So moving forward....
PSCRAQ changed it's eligibility list. So I can run my skyline track car. So I've got a car that meets there rules and is a full 4 seconds quicker a lap for ten grand. "Cheaper than a stuart motor", more than likely, quicker and cheaper to run as well. But we will see

I'm even more wrapped, with the QR300, can't wait team "porn star racing" is already set and work has already started on the boat. Also QR has set a min lap time of 1:22 to keep the really quick cars out of it. Big thumbs up.
Still do I miss my mx5 hell yes

I think sometimes we all like to throw stones, I've done it.... But as much as things change, some things still stay the same I.E.
