Cams expiry dates on race seats

I have been trying to find out a few things but seem to get conflicting answers.
Hoping someone can clear it up for me on here.

I will be doing Supersprints in NSW, and I have a Sparco junior with the dates of July 1999 punched out on it.

I assume this means it was manufactured on that date?

When does/did, it become expired and in Supersprints will this mean I can not use this seat?

Only harnesses expire... I've never heard of seat expiry. That'll be the production date of the seat. Only time I've ever seen a seat knocked back was in a charade. The back was actually broken in half and flopped backwards... otherwise I've seen some pretty old race seats.
