BBR super 200 for ND
Anyone had experience with the BBR 200 kit for the ND1?

Seems to be a few conversations around this on the big forum, but nothing conclusive.

Also a few online reviews in the UK, but again, nothing conclusive from actual owners.

Guessing it's a turbo kit. Unlikely anybody local has bought one due to the terrible exchange rate and import duties.
ND owners only fit rims and exhausts, they're too new for serious mods.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few kicking around. Maybe try your luck over on the Facebook groups?

Lol, 200 is for 205bhp, not 200KW.
So not a Turbo Kit.
It is Air Intake, Header, Cams and a Tune.
Another 9bhp can be had with a mid pipe and muffler.
BTW that is crank power, not power at the wheels as measured by BBR.

Nope but my biggest concern would actually be the fitment of the cams in Australia.
Skyactiv motors are not something that really have been opened up much here in Oz.
There are a few cars around with the BBR turbo kits on ND1's.
All I can say is good luck to them in the long run.
Forced induction is really only a feasible option if you want to do the NC gearbox conversion as the standard ND box is just to flimsy.
BTW: If I was modifying a ND staying naturally aspirated with cams is the way I would go as well.
Here is another thread you can read.

I'm with Luke on the ND gearbox and the wisdom of modding an ND.
I'd suggest that anyone chasing power who was not the original owner of their ND1 have a very close look at what Mazda has done to upgrade their gearbox. Last time I looked (a while ago now) there were nine upgrades from the original, presumably you only need the gearbox that has the latest upgrade but that is just a guess on my part. How much durability that provides for big HP is the question, and I would want a good answer before investing in engine upgrades.
Easy button: Just sell it and upgrade to an NC, or NB ...

Dunno about ND, but BBR180 (HP) transforms an NC.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)
